As an Assistant General Counsel in our newest European hub for Chase bank, you will be part of a team of trusted advisors supporting the launch of our European hub. You will provide wide-ranging legal advice on exciting new products and services, engage with business and corporate stakeholders across multiple locations, and work on some of the most interesting innovations in this area of financial services. Job responsibilities: Providing advice and support on the provision of our products and services Drafting legal documentation for clients, internal stakeholders, senior management and regulatory authorities Working collaboratively with Legal colleagues, other business and Corporate stakeholders in multiple jurisdictions Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills German qualified lawyer, with at least 3 years post-qualification experience in a top law firm and/or in-house financial services Legal team Broad knowledge of law and regulations governing the provision of banking and investment products and services Quality product, technical, legal and other risk awareness skills and an ability to work across a broad set of products and services Strong knowledge of the ECB / BaFin / Bundesbank supervisory regimes for German authorised credit institutions and investment firms Understanding of banking products and associated banking/payments regulation (CRD IV, PSD II, KWG, ZAG) Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills Experience of providing Legal advice on digital service delivery channels Knowledge of consumer banking Self-starter, hands-on mentality and team player Ability to work comfortably in a global organisation
