Job Summary (Regulatory Reporting): The Business IT Process Owner (BITPO) for Reg Reporting will be responsible for overseeing the Run the Bank’ and continuous improvement of reg risk reporting processes within the bank. The Business IT Process Owner for Regulatory Reporting would be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of all regulatory reporting processes within the bank. The role involves working closely with various business departments, including Reg Reporting, Compliance, Risk Management, Finance, and IT, to ensure that the data integrity, consistency and timelines are adhered as per the regulatory requirements and guidelines, throughout multiple reporting process. Strong analytical skills along with background in banking regulations and process improvement are essential to ensure regulatory compliance and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Manage Data Flow: Oversee the smooth transfer of financial data from Front Office (FO) systems to the bank’s data platform, ensuring it's properly prepared for Regulatory Reporting processes. Ensure Data Integrity: Make sure financial data is accurate, complete, and consistent as it moves through various systems, quickly addressing any issues that arise. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with related business units and IT teams to ensure seamless data integration and processing across all platforms and ensure that reporting deadlines are met. Support Reporting: Ensure that the data needed for various regulatory reporting is delivered on time and meets all regulatory and internal standards. Troubleshoot Problems: Proactively identify and fix any issues related to data delivery or processing to keep operations running smoothly. Improve Processes: Regularly evaluate and refine data workflows to make them more efficient and reliable within the regulatory reporting framework. Document Processes: Keep detailed records of data processes, workflows, and any issues resolved to support ongoing operations and future audits. Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all data handling and reporting activities are in line with regulatory requirements and the bank’s KPIs. Process Analysis and Improvement: Conduct thorough analysis of existing IT processes. Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks, and design solutions for process optimization. IT Service Management (ITSM): Implement and manage ITSM best practices, ensuring that IT services meet the needs of the business and adhere to industry standards. Project Management: Lead and manage projects focused on the development and implementation of process improvements within the IT department. Documentation and Compliance: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Change Management: Facilitate change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transition and adoption of new processes and technologies across the organization. Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of IT processes. Regularly review performance data to identify areas for further improvement. Qualifications / Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in regulatory reporting within the banking industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. In-depth knowledge of banking regulations and reporting requirements. Certification in ITIL, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies preferred. Proven track record of implementing successful process improvement initiatives. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects Proficient in regulatory reporting software and systems. Working Conditions: Primarily office-based with the option for remote work as specified. May require occasional travel for meetings or training sessions.
