Your team
In our Product & Technology division, we deliver highly scalable and performant software – with passion. We consist of hundreds of Software Engineers, Business Analysts, Architects, Product Owners and Cluster Leads and speak fluently agile – amongst many other languages. The Regulatory Reporting Team is within our Banking Core division which is responsible for maintaining and enhancing our Avaloq software and products. As a member of the Regulatory Reporting Team, you will be part of a collaborative and small team of Software Engineers and Business Analysts building high-quality solutions that support our existing and new clients with their regulatory requirements. Following agile methodologies, you will work closely with the Product Owner, Business Analysts and Software Engineers to design, develop, test and maintain functionality within the team’s responsibility.
Your key tasks:
* Analyse regulatory reporting and financial reporting requirements and create detailed specifications in collaboration with software developers, partners, and customers
* Evaluate possible scenarios and recommend the most effective business and IT solutions, considering regulatory compliance and industry best practices
* Support developers during implementation phases by ensuring alignment with business requirements
* Act as the primary point of contact for functional questions related to regulatory reporting, risk management, or financial reporting solutions
* Collaborate with technical writers to maintain and enhance product documentation.
* Support consulting projects, regulatory reporting solution implementations, and sales workshops
* Maintain a deep understanding of the end-to-end solution, including banking processes, regulatory frameworks, and backend systems
Qualifications
* Proven track record as a Business Analyst, preferably with a focus on regulatory reporting topics (e.g., COREP, FINREP, etc.) or risk management
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable solutions
* Familiarity with coding concepts
* Professional proficiency in German and English (minimum B2 level)
* Hands-on experience working within agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
It would be a real bonus if you have:
* In-depth knowledge of regulatory reporting software, such as ABACUS, WKFS, or BAIS
* Experience with the Avaloq Banking Suite
* Practical skills in PL/SQL for database queries and reporting purposes
* Prior experience in the banking sector, particularly in risk management or legal reporting areas
* A degree in a relevant field, such as Finance, Banking, or Information Technology
