THE ROLE & THE TEAM As a Copywriter & Conceptor in the Language Services Team, you will craft clear, impactful English base copy that serves as a strong foundation for localisation across all markets. You’ll take ownership of small-scale projects—such as landing page content, product page shoots, and copy for our own channels—while supporting mid-sized initiatives, including concept ideation, client presentations, and local activations. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will develop and maintain messaging guidelines that ensure consistency while adapting to diverse local needs. You’ll help shape Zalando’s Tone of Voice (ToV), ensuring it remains locally relevant while staying true to our global vision. With a strong fashion background, exceptional English writing skills, and the ability to create adaptable, stakeholder-focused copy, you’ll craft source texts that balance clarity, brand identity, and localisation requirements across multiple platforms and formats. You understand Zalando’s vision and stakeholder needs, seamlessly integrating both to deliver outstanding creative work. Confident in internal and external communication, you’ll effectively collaborate with stakeholders, keeping them informed, gathering feedback, and refining ways of working. You will also contribute to presentations and act as a point of contact for local or smaller campaigns, helping to ensure alignment and impact. Collaborate with senior team members to ensure copy aligns with brand standards and stakeholder needs. Contribute to improving copy quality across consumer-facing platforms by applying best practices in messaging and localisation. Support the base copy development, transcreation, and localisation process by providing input and feedback. Assist in refining English guidelines and AI prompts to help teams and tools generate high-quality, brand-aligned messaging. WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF You have a minimum of 3 years of work experience as a copywriter and ideator for fashion brands and/or ecommerce. You have a degree in Design, Fashion, Arts, Communication or another relevant field. You possess an in-depth knowledge of trends in creative writing, campaigns, concepts, as well as working experience in European markets and consumer knowledge. You have experience in working with localised copy and understand the importance of localisation requirements. You are open to others’ ideas, able to provide professional feedback and serve as a role-model for your colleagues. Strong in stakeholder management skills. Ability to adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced, growth-oriented culture. Ability to work independently and take initiatives as well as ease in working with a team.
