About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager Procurement Aluminium / Die Casting (m/f/x) to join our Magna Corporate Procurement Europe team who will be responsible for developing and executing the commodity strategy for Aluminium / Die Casting.
The position is based in Sailauf or Munich, Germany or in Graz, Austria.
Your Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute the commodity strategy for Aluminium / Die Casting in alignment with the company's overall strategic objectives
2. Monitor and analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvements
3. Prepare request documents and associated bids
4. Evaluate offers and negotiate, as well as present results to the sourcing board and management
5. Lead the negotiation, contracting processes, and supplier relationships for Aluminium / Die Casting commodities
6. Develop, negotiate, and conclude individual and framework agreements
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate commodity synergies and achieve the best possible outcomes for stakeholders involved
8. Work closely with the European Procurement teams across Magna Groups
9. Enhance existing templates and tools to effectively present projects and savings
10. Improve data quality in existing systems
Who we are looking for
11. Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
12. Proven track record of several years in procurement and sourcing within the automotive industry, with specific experience in Aluminium / Die Casting commodities
13. Experience in organizing cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
Your preferred qualifications
14. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a focus on driving cost reduction and supplier performance improvement
15. Strong expertise in commodities strategy definition and implementation
16. Solid understanding of supply chain management principles
17. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at various levels
18. Independent work style, hands-on mentality, and analytical thinking
19. Fluent in both written and spoken German and English. Additional languages would be beneficial
20. Proficient in MS Office and SAP
21. Willingness to travel as required
