In the Business Development area at SMA, we focus on identifying and exploring holistic business opportunities. Our work involves developing expansion strategies, building and maintaining partnerships, and nurturing customer relationships. Our goal is to explore new paths and ensure sustainable growth for SMA.
Your daily tasks
1. Business Models : You’ll work on potential business opportunities and contribute to implementing new business models and refining existing ones
2. International Focus : You’ll create global market studies (including the USA and Australia) and participate in opening up new markets
3. Preparation : You’ll assist in preparing presentations, customer meetings, and marketing activities
4. Collaboration : You’ll collaborate closely with various SMA departments, such as Strategic Marketing and Product Portfolio
Your skills
5. Education : Technical or business-related studies (e.g., economics, marketing, mechanical engineering) with a basic understanding of finance and marketing
6. Interest : Interest in topics like “sector coupling in residential homes” and “integration of storage options”
7. Proactivity : Ability to independently drive topics forward and an affinity for structured work and analytical thinking
8. Microsoft Office : Proficient use of common Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
9. Language Qualifications : Effective communication within an open and agile team; proficiency in both German and English (at least C1 level)

11. You can dedicate approximately 15 hours per week and commit to supporting us for at least 12 months, preferably longer
