For our European headquarters in Munich, we are looking for a Sales Director/Managing Director who will be fully responsible for market expansion and business growth in the EU, which includes building a strong sales force, FAE, exploring new customers, and maintaining effective relationships with customers and distributors.
Tasks
1. Define sales strategy and operational plan in EU, ensuring achievement of business targets and sales goals.
2. Maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships, hunt new customers, identify new market opportunities, and develop and manage Europe-wide distributors.
3. Recruit, lead, and manage local/regional Sales and FAE teams, providing mentorship and cultivating talents, forming and integrating teams.
4. Decide and organize the annual activities to be undertaken, planning the fairs and exhibitions where the company should be present.
5. Provide data on EU market needs and trends as guidance for product development.
Requirements
1. BS/MS in Electronic Engineering or relevant majors.
2. Minimum 10 years’ semiconductor sales experience and relationships with strategic customers.
3. Deep understanding of the semiconductor industry competition landscape and EU market trends, with the ability to drive actions to gain market share.
4. Deep understanding of targeted markets such as Telecom, industrial, and automotive in the EU; distributor management experience.
5. Ability to drive semiconductor sales flow and sales technologies to enable effective conversions, and faster design-in and win cycles.
6. Strong and convincing business leader with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills (prefer charm over tactics of aggression).
7. Proven experience in building and leading sales and FAE teams.
8. Initiative, drive, and enthusiasm; strategic thinking and analysis.
9. Willingness to travel intensively.
10. Fluent in German and English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
