We also support Ford partners with our purchase financing and comprehensive multi-risk business insurance. We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Advisor to join our team at FBG. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice to the bank on civil law, consumer and commercial credit law, banking law, insolvency law and AI law. You will play a key role in the bank's contract developments with customers, dealers, and other contractual partners, which will include contract negotiations. We are seeking a motivated individual who is drawn to the challenges and complexities facing Ford Bank Germany and Ford, inter alia supporting FBG's efforts to become a digital retail bank. You will be prepared to devote the necessary time to meaningfully apply your knowledge to effectively support FBG's initiatives which include: digital customer experience, process automation and outsourcing. - Provide legal advice and support the business and monitor advice from other domestic and foreign group companies/branches - Develop and negotiate legal concepts and contracts with customers, dealers and other contractual partners support and evaluate partnerships/cooperations - Critically assess evolving business and market dynamics and supporting FBG's Head of Legal in providing advice to the business / key stakeholders on upcoming legal challenges and changes. -Monitor, analyse and implement legislative and regulatory proposals, including relevant court rulings -Support the Bank's success to become a digital retail bank through reviewing and interpreting legal requirements and make recommendations on possibilities, and how the bank can ensure compliance whilst achieving strategic goals. -Successfully completed state examinations and have a solid understanding of Financial Services / Banking experience, preferably in Automotive Financial Services and Leasing. - Strong analytical and communication skills, able to develop legal concepts, support and evaluate corporate law projects. Confident in conducting legal proceedings and managing external legal representatives. Effectively lead on contract developments and negotiations. Ability to concisely communicate complex legal issues in an understandable manner to all different stakeholders both internally and externally, including appropriate skills for proactive monitoring and analysis of legislative changes and court rulings. - Experience working independently, handling multiple tasks with the ability to effectively liaise and collaborate with internal and external partners. Apply a commercial and risk orientated approach to legal decision-making and advice. Additional Information The role is based in our offices in Cologne; we operate a hybrid approach which is a combination of home and on-site working. Timeframe for hiring is indicative, targeting an onboarding date of Q3/25.
