Amazon Web Services is seeking bright, motivated, hardworking individuals to fill Data Center Logistics Specialist positions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Operational Excellence.
The Logistics Specialist reviews Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained in all locations to support build and repair activities. Working with the Logistics team leads, they create plans to optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle. They work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately. They operate the RMA process and receive replacements. They are responsible for accurate data and assist peers and technical staff on site.
The Logistics Specialist understands everything about the Data Center asset lifecycle. They maintain up-to-date metrics dashboards and will create reports for internal and external suppliers and management as required.
Responsibilities include manual tasks, such as:
1. Placing items in storage
2. Managing parts in shelving and pallet locations, extracting and moving parts from site-specific areas.
3. Assisting in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from various locations.
4. Handling incoming shipments, unpacking boxes, and performing checks and system updates to material tracking databases.
5. Keeping accurate records of material movements overall.
The Logistics Specialist is expected to understand logistics processes, adhere to strict safety standards, and deliver results at the highest quality level. Ability to work in multiple sites is expected, as the operation of Data Center Logistics is located in multiple sites.
Key job responsibilities include:
1. Material flow handling, returns, and secondary supply chain.
2. Working on everyday logistics and warehousing.
3. Package handling and pallet moves.
4. Coordinating and cooperating with teammates and superiors on complex tasks.
5. Basic administrative and communication tasks with customers and suppliers.

Minimum Requirements:
1. High school or equivalent diploma
2. STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education
3. Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems
4. Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
5. Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
6. Work 10-hour shifts as needed
7. Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordination with Manager
Preferred Qualifications:
1. A Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain
2. Understanding of IT and Data Center parts & equipment
3. Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and drive results
4. Valid driving license
5. German language knowledge
