The position As our VP People (f/m/d), you will ensure that Hive is both a high-performing team and a caring, supportive employer. This role includes ownership of all people functions, including business partnering, people ops, office management and talent acquisition. With your team of initially 5-10 members, you will shape and grow Hive exponentially. Dynamic and Impactful Role: As VP People you drive how well our team collaborates, grows and thrives. Global Role: You'll have the unique opportunity to coordinate our people efforts across our teams based in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the UK, ensuring our people strategy translates to each location while remaining compliant with local employment laws. A lot of ownership: You own and shape all things people at Hive will have the opportunity to strongly influence how our team works, based on your expertise and experience, also as trusted advisor to our C-level. We would still love to hear from you if you think you’re a good fit People Leadership Experience: You have been a successful people leader (Head level) in a startup/scaleup, ideally for the stage Hive is going into now (Series B/C), showcasing strong results, thoughtfulness, drive and knowledge on best practices. Team Leadership Experience: You were responsible for a team and helped them grow, develop and thrive through your leadership. Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Your analytical and strategic thinking skills enable you to identify and execute on people initiatives by making data-driven decisions that align with the company's objectives. Problem-Solving Skills & Attention to Detail: You have a proactive and solution-oriented approach, able to anticipate challenges and address them effectively to keep projects on track and always think one step ahead to be on top of the details. Language Proficiency & Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills in English are required, and additional fluency in German, French, Italian, Spanish, or an other European languages is advantageous due to the multinational scope of the role. You are based in or willing to relocate to Berlin: We believe that in-person collaboration & communication makes people leader more successful, therefore this is a hard requirement for this position.
