This role has the responsibility of operational purchasing processes including assurance of transactional requirements.
The Buyer, Regional Commodity Parts serves as contact window for suppliers based in region and is also responsible for daily operational tasks like supply issues, RFQ execution, etc.
What You Will Do
* Negotiate with regional suppliers in agreement with your manager
* Manage RFQs, Bid Analysis and supplier recommendations in agreement with management
* Build and manage a strong relationship with key suppliers
* Execute supplier visits
* Manage everyday communication with suppliers
* Support the AGCO Parts supply chain by ensuring parts related conditions
* Carry out contract management, incl. contract data maintenance
* Clarify requirements for design and quality specifications based on technical documents with responsible departments
* Coordinate initial sample orders and support the approval procedure
* Coordinate between internal departments (like Marketing, Customer Service, Pricing…)
What You Will Bring
* Bachelor's degree in a Business or related disciplines (i.e. Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Commodities Management)
* Leverage supplier process knowledge for contract negotiations and continuous improvement opportunities
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills in German and English are a must, European languages, such as French or Italian are a definite plus
* Demonstrated ability to take ownership of issues, initiate actions, and make effective decisions.
* Ensure a comprehensive TCO that includes reliability, maintenance, operating, energy, transportation, and storing costs across region
A Plus If You Have
* Purchasing, Supply Chain or Engineering background
* Experience of metal/steel parts, processes, technology
* Strong analytical skills with ability to execute operationally
* Experience utilizing Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) as well as ERP systems like SAP
