This role is crucial for ensuring smooth and efficient HR processes that support the organization’s goals. Head of HR Operations leads the HR Ops team, develops and implements HR policies, ensures compliance with labour laws, and enhances the overall employee experience. This role also involves managing HR systems and databases, driving process improvements, and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. Your key responsibilities in this role will be: Oversee daily HR operations, ensuring all functions run smoothly and efficiently. Maintain and enhance the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating HR policies, programs, and best practices. Manage employee relations, providing guidance and support to managers and staff on HR-related issues. Develop and implement HR policies that align with organizational goals and comply with legal requirements. Recommend updates to HR documents in response to regulatory changes or company needs. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Collaborate with legal counsel to address complex contractual and employment issues. Support internal audits of HR processes, addressing any findings in a timely manner. Act as a consultant to managers and staff regarding HR policies and procedures. Address employee queries related to compensation, labour regulations, and other HR topics. Manage the payroll runs with a close collaboration with the external service provider Assess and maintain employee benefits programs, ensuring employees are informed and benefits align with company strategy. Monitor and manage internal HR systems and databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and accuracy of HR data. Qualifications needed to be successful in this role: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures. Thorough understanding of HR best practices, employment laws and regulations. Significant experience with payroll administration. Knowledge of labour laws and regulations in DACH. Internal and external Stakeholder management skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Fluency in in German, English and French. Additional skills and experience that would make you stand out: Experienced in HRIS systems, payroll software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team of HR professionals across countries. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Professional certification in HR, federal degree, is preferred.
