Lead the HVDC Construction and Commissioning Site Managers in the Europe and Middle East (EME) region, ensuring that the discipline relevant processes and instructions are available, maintained and applied correctly throughout the construction sites and construction phases. Recruit, train, coach and develop experienced, qualified and competent resources to ensure the success of the projects and the delivery of the contractual obligations to the Customers, in regards to cost-efficient execution, adherence to schedule commitments, completeness of scope, and conforming to the highest levels of quality and safety standards.
How you'll make an impact
* Management and Development: Oversees Site Managers in the EME region, focusing on their performance, administrative needs, and development.
* Resource Planning: Maintains and ensures adequate resources for current and future projects, including manpower planning.
* Training and Mentoring: Trains, coaches, and mentors Site Managers to ensure they have the necessary skills and competencies.
* Process Implementation: Develops and implements processes, guidelines, and documentation for site management.
* Communication and Visits: Regularly communicates with sites and conducts visits to assess performance, identify risks, and share best practices.
* Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Promotes HSE culture through training and coaching, emphasizing its importance to the business and stakeholders.
* Representation and Support: Represents the Site Management discipline to internal and external stakeholders, supports tendering activities, and interfaces with unions in Germany.
Your background
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering.
* Experience working as a Project Manager, Site Manager or Construction Personnel Leader in the energy sector or similar industries.
* Experience as a Line Manager leading 10 or more resources with managerial level.
* Fluent in English and German language, written and oral.
* Excellent communication skills, strategic thinking and resilience.
* Very structured and organized, good people management skills, collaboration and team working spirit, excellent customer interface skills.
* Able and willing to travel to sites in the region as may be required for the duties of the role.
