We are hiring for a (Senior) Backend Developer (Java/Kotlin) (f/m/d) to work in our Engineering team. Tasks Develop E.ON One's product platform using Kotlin and Spring, leveraging cloud-native technologies. Work closely with developers, product managers, and architects to create software solutions that revolutionize the energy industry. Design and implement scalable, maintainable backend services that integrate seamlessly with third-party services and APIs. Participate in code reviews, offer constructive feedback, and continuously optimize application performance and security. Qualifications 5 years in software development with strong expertise in Java/Kotlin. Knowledge of Python and Go is a plus. Proficient in developing modern backend services with the Spring framework and well-versed in API technologies (JSON, REST, HTTP, OIDC, gRPC). Familiar with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies. Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and cloud native services. Knowledgeable about best practices in software security. Passionate about the energy domain and eager to contribute to the energy transition. Comfortable working in a start-up-like environment, taking ownership of tasks, and communicating effectively. Fluent skills in English; German and other languages are considered a plus.
