Summary:
We are looking for an experienced (Senior) Gameplay Programmer familiar with developing games using Unreal Engine.
The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, the ability to deliver on time with very little oversight, and works well in a team environment.
Some of your responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with Designers, Producers, Artists, and the Audio team to realize the vision of the game
2. Support Art and Gameplay features and create sustainable workflows
3. Understand and articulate the trade-offs between technical & design choices, and solve for the best player experience
4. Sometimes work with production staff and other leads to establish engineering tasks and subsequent schedule requirements across multiple disciplines of programming and technology
5. Take part in establishing coding standards and maintain efficient coding practices
6. Evaluate and mentor other programmers on the team with less Unreal Engine experience
7. Provide critical analysis of technology and development practices with the goal of improving game quality, team efficiency, and fostering a positive work environment
8. Serve as an active partner in driving the company’s technological vision
9. Perform research to acquire the knowledge necessary to complete assigned tasks and maintain the technological evolution of current and future products
10. Maintain familiarity with the current game and system designs of the game industry as well as with new emerging technologies
Desired qualifications:
11. Excellent communication skills
12. Strong programming skills
13. Experience with Unreal Engine 4
14. Familiarity with PC and Console development best practices
15. Proficient in both written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical developers
16. You are a C++ Expert
17. Previous leadership/mentorship experience, or leadership interest and potential
18. Passion for real-time strategy and/or roleplaying games is welcomed
19. Applicants must be authorized to work in Germany/E.U
20. Fluent in written and spoken English
