The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term initially for three years. An extension is possible. The fixed-term employment is possible as it constitutes one of the fixed-term options of the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (German Act on Fixed-term Scientific Contracts). This is a full-time position. The successful candidate has the opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree in this position. The salary is based on the German public service salary scale (TV-L). The position corresponds to a pay grade of EG 13 TV-L. Prof. Frank Piller and Dr. Patrick Pollok from RWTH TIM are part of the research team, contributingexpertise in innovation ecosystems, business model innovation, open innovation, and digital transformation. We are seeking talented and motivated Doctoral Candidates with expertise in the energy sector, for example through a degree in industrial engineering with a major in energy technology or electrical power engineering, through project experience gained from previous employment,or from other practical experience in the energy sector. Ihr Profil You have successfully completed your university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. You have a keen interest and, preferrable, background knowledge in energy systems, energy transition, energy economics, the platform economy, and/or business model innovation. You have or will develop proficiency in programming, data analysis, and simulation tools. You work in a structured and reliable manner, demonstrating a high level of motivation, initiative, and commitment, and can work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. You are passionate about research in management and innovation and enthusiastic about collaboration with other disciplines. Excellent writing skills and fluency in English complete your profile.Basic German skills are of large advantage.
