What you’ll do
We are seeking a proactive and experienced (Senior) Scrum Master with Full Stack development experience to join our Sovereign Cloud Automation&Tooling (SAT) team in Berlin. This unique hybrid role combines Agile leadership with hands-on engineering work — perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and technically challenging environment.
Scrum Master Responsibilities:
* Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
* Coach and mentor the team on Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog.
* Identify blockers, track team velocity, and support team focus and productivity.
* Drive continuous improvement through team metrics and Agile retrospectives.
* Promote engineering best practices in the Agile process to enhance delivery outcomes.
Full Stack Developer Responsibilities:
* Contribute actively to the development of OCP and SAT tools, covering both frontend and backend components.
* Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
* Collaborate with DevOps engineers to enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
* Participate in solution design discussions, perform code reviews, and drive engineering quality standards.
* Write automated tests and support the team with debugging, performance tuning, and integration challenges.
What you bring
* Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a technical and Agile development environment.
* Solid hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer using modern technologies (e.g., Java, Node.js, Python, Go, or similar for backend; React, Angular, or similar for frontend).
* Experience with cloud-native development and working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or OpenStack.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
* Strong knowledge of Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and team leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM, or equivalent Agile certification.
* Experience working on automation, cloud infrastructure, or DevSecOps projects.
* Passion for both leadership and hands-on development.

The Sovereign Cloud Automation & Tooling (SAT) Team drives automation, security, and compliance for Sovereign Cloud across AWS, Azure, and OpenStack, leveraging IaC, CI/CD, and observability and develops Operations Control Plane (OCP) which orchestrates provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management, integrating with our SAP internal tools like SPC, CRM, and cloud automation for efficient cloud operations for our Cloud Delivery Regions in UK, CAN, AUS and upcoming new regions.
