Hauptaufgaben Maintains the property books to reflect all items of property, repair parts, and components received, issued or otherwise disposed. Prepares issue, turn-in, and other transaction documents for non-expendable property. Reviews authorization documents for item authorization; if not authorized, requests approval. Maintains a register of transaction documents and makes necessary postings to the property accountability records. The Supply Technician maintains equipment accountability and control using the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-ARMY) and other databases to ensure consistency and accuracy. Physically inventories property at periodic intervals. Compares inventory results with property records. Reconciles discrepancies by reviewing the property book postings with transaction documents for errors; if no errors are found, initiates turn-in slips to adjust discrepancy. Prepares transactions for unaccountable items Financial Liability Investigation of property Loss (FLIPL). Performs extensive research in different catalogs to obtain stock numbers. Maintains hand-receipt file of all non-expendable items received from the installation Property Book Officer. Reissues item to using organizations on hand-receipt and maintains the hand-receipt file in a current status. Maintains files pertaining to property book activities. Compiles information and prepares a variety of monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual reports. Uses word processing software to input/edit correspondence, reports, which include a wide variety of technical terminology, and formats/prints (through use of automation printing equipment) to final form in accordance with regulatory requirements. Type documents not formatted to automation or database. Uses reference sources such as technical dictionaries, correspondence regulations and manual/automated spell check to assure proper arrangements, grammatical and spelling accuracy of the final copy.
