Senior NatCat Pricing & Modelling Expert (m/f/d)* Company Munich Re Location Munich, Germany Corporate Underwriting is responsible for the risk management function for underwriting risks as well as the cross divisional business support function to enable and ensure risk adequate underwriting in the global reinsurance segment of Munich Re.The section NatCat Accumulation Risk Management is accountable for developing modelling standards and for quantifying, monitoring and managing natural catastrophe (NatCat) risks. The team also supports the business units in taking advantage of specific business opportunities.To complement our team of experts in this area, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior NatCat Pricing & Modelling Expert who is motivated by NatCat modelling and providing guidance to a team of experts in this area. You will be able to shape the underlying concepts of the NatCat business and NatCat models across Munich Re Group.Your JobTechnical responsibility for the development of NatCat pricing best practices for the group wide (property) treaty and facultative/direct businessLeading or overseeing projects related to NatCat risks and NatCat best practices used for pricing and accumulation control Evaluation and calibration of internal or external natural catastrophe models for pricing and risk management processes and as a basis for the Munich Re Group Internal ModelIntegration of NatCat models into the Munich Re internal exposure and modeling platform and support in further methodological developments of this platformParticipating in NatCat pricing relevant quality assurance measures, e.g. UW reviews or assessment of complex and/or large treatiesConsulting operational units on various NatCat topics and modelling or pricing specific questions as well as supporting or conducting internal trainingsClose cooperation with various internal stakeholders and with business units including the international organizationInternal and external communication Your ProfileDegree in mathematics, statistics, natural sciences or equivalent qualification Several years of experience and expertise in Property Treaty Cat Underwriting.
