Description The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our team. Reporting to the treasury manager, this role will oversee a team of Payroll Clerks and/or Accountants, ensuring smooth and efficient payroll operations while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities As a Payroll Supervisor, you will: Lead and manage a team, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and employee development. Oversee and coordinate payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in wage calculations, tax withholdings, and other deductions. Maintain up-to-date payroll records, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. Research and resolve payroll-related issues, providing timely support to employees and management. Develop and implement best practices to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with internal departments and external providers to ensure seamless payroll operations. Participate in special projects and serve on committees as assigned. Prepare and present payroll reports to management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in payroll administration or a related area. Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws, compliance regulations, and industry best practices. Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity. Proficiency in business communication in English. Additional European languages skills are an advantage.
