Sr. Manager Procurement Successfully engage in strategic planning, budgeting and target setting to deliver meaningful business impact. Collaborate with leadership across functions to identify requirements aligned with the business unit's strategies and business priorities. Act as a 'strategic thought partner' to the Business Unit. Create a compelling case for change and inspire stakeholders to realize the value that good sourcing practices bring to the business. Manage a holistic portfolio end-to-end, supporting the implementation of an array of category strategies and Affiliate specific projects. Where applicable, partner with Global Category Managers to develop global category strategies, sharing Affiliate business objectives, desired product/service specifications and projected demand. Where applicable, partner with Global Category Managers to drive Affiliate adherence to global category strategies and proactively identify category opportunities to create value for the Affiliate. Where applicable, develop local category strategies in close collaboration with Affiliate stakeholders ensuring stakeholders have a holistic view of Affiliate demand and supply options. For locally managed categories, develop relationships with key suppliers and meet key stakeholders annually to identify customer satisfaction and supplier improvement opportunities. Partner with Procurement Program Managers to operationalize enterprise Procurement programs (eg. for Travel or Temporary Labour) within the Affiliate market. For strategic sourcing projects, consult with stakeholders and Procurement's Services & Delivery Team to support the development of effective supplier negotiation strategies and the successful execution of Affiliate sourcing projects. Establish and monitor key performance metrics, status on deliverables and market intelligence relevant to the Affiliate. Provide progress status briefings to management (see reporting line below), proactively highlighting issues that require awareness or attention. Generate presentations for senior leaders as required. Attend Global Procurement team meetings where these support the sharing of best practice and the adoption of global procurement processes. Promote sourcing best practices and the standardization of processes, whilst minimizing supply risk. Experience Requirements: 8 years professional work experience plus a BS/BA (or the equivalent), Experience working in the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry is desirable but is not a pre-requisite. Demonstrated leadership and effective business partnering capabilities. Experience managing and maintaining strong supplier relationships. Negotiation/contract management experience. Experience leading cross functional teams. Knowledge and experience of Category Management and strategic sourcing processes. Experience using procurement systems for reporting and data analysis/insight generation purposes. Experience leading multiple projects and teams simultaneously across a matrixed organization. Demonstrates strong business acumen and judgement. Fluent in English and German.
