KG As a compulsory intern at MSD, you will partner with our research and development department in Feucht (near Nuremberg) to find sustainable polymers in wet chemical production facilities. In this role, you will report to the Manager systems development process. In Feucht we work on the development of new wet-chemical process equipment for a wide variety of applications which will be later used in your smartphone, your car and your home. This new equipment are mainly build out of chemical resistant polymers and here we want to get more sustainable. Your responsibility Find potential sustainable polymers for our wet chemical production lines Get in contact with universities, research institutes and companies Define properties and tests that can be used to evaluate these polymers for our different processes Create schedule and test plan for further evaluation Travel Requirements: Up to 10 % of Travel is required What you bring to the table Enrolled student in material science, chemistry or process engineering Excellent communication skills (in English), as you will be working across departments Very good MS Office skills Process-driven and detail-orientated way of working with high quality standards and a simultaneous focus on results First experiences in polymers, material science, chemical processes and test planning and executes (DoE) You are looking for a mandatory internship for 3-4 months starting in April 2025.
