If you're curious, open-minded, and ready to challenge the status quo, we'd love to hear from you Tasks & responsibilities - In your new role, you will act as strategic and laboratory leader for cellular and/or tissue neuropharmacological exploration of the precise mechanisms of action of portfolio project compounds and identification of novel target engagement biomarkers. - You will provide advice and guidance to department, teams and wider groups based on a deep understanding of basic neuropharmacological principals & practice. - Furthermore, you will function as strategic lead for exploration of novel NCE modalities to open to date unexplored chemical and target space for future portfolio projects. - You will serve as an experienced research project leader (RPL) trusted to lead and provide strategic guidance to internal and/or collaboration projects with external entities. - You will drive our portfolio progression and the provision and establishment of state-of-the-art laboratory technologies and methods. - Also, you will contribute to our portfolio by leading work-streams to create target ideas and deliver tangible research plans. Requirements - Doctoral degree and Post Doctoral experience in biochemistry, pharmacology or neurobiology with several years of industrial professional experience in drug discovery and development - Several years demonstrated experience exploring in vitro neuropharmacology and mechanism of action characterization - Proven line and matrix function leadership skills of both technical staff and lab scientists - Curious and open-minded, courageous to challenge the status quo and assumptions combined with the openness to feedback - Ability to deliver high quality results and make timely decisions with well balanced analysis and intuition - Expert communication skills in English and German, written and spoken Ready to contact us?
