Join our Last Mile Team in Munich as a Procurement Manager and take ownership for your Cluster.
As Procurement Manager Last Mile you will be responsible for our Delivery Service Provider (DSP’s) and manage an annual spend of a high double digit Mio Euro amount. You will lead the negotiations, make a significant contribution to the company’s success and assure the best delivery experience for our customers. You will also ensure that our suppliers deliver against key performance indicators, adhere to best-in-class quality standards and fulfil relevant legal requirements in terms of compliance.
In this role, you will be closely aligned with relevant internal stakeholders (Delivery Experience Management, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Legal, Finance) to carve out the strategy for your cluster, establish standardizations and discover opportunities to constantly evolve the organization.
Your Tasks:
* Ownership & Expertise: Take ownership of a specific set of Delivery Service Providers (DSP’s) and be the expert for your cluster.
* Budget Management: Set up and align budgets per market & DSP, monitor budget development closely, and implement corrective actions if necessary.
* Strategic Development: Develop dedicated strategies for each DSP, including milestones and goals, and execute these strategies.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Delivery Experience Management, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Legal, Finance) to develop and establish standard operating procedures.
* Sourcing & Contracts: Conduct relevant sourcing events (RFX’s), implement supplier agreements/contracts, and drive cost optimization projects for your DSP’s.
* Contract Management: Serve as the primary contact for all contract-related topics of the DSP’s and handle escalations for your stakeholders.
* Department Development: Play an integral role in the development of the department by driving different projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
* Profound experience in procurement or vendor/category management with exposure to large contract interfaces. Experience in e-commerce and/or logistics is a significant plus.
* Excellent negotiation skills and experience in leading negotiations, sourcing events, and strategic projects.
* In-depth knowledge of contract drafting, management, and change control.
* Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities and requirements.
* Advanced analytical skills with profound knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn proprietary systems.
* Fluency in English.
