Job Description
We are looking for a proactive Head of Safety (m/f/d) to drive and lead safety initiatives across our Moulded Glass Business Unit with multiple international production sites.
Your key responsibilities:
* Develop and implement the BU-wide safety strategy in line with corporate goals, local regulations, and global best practices
* Lead safety performance and culture across international sites while ensuring legal compliance and alignment with company standards
* Monitor relevant safety regulations and report key compliance and performance indicators (KPIs) to management
* Drive and support risk assessments, emergency response planning, and accident prevention measures
* Coordinate and lead incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
* Ensure comprehensive HSE training for all employees, including onboarding and regular refresher sessions
* Active member of the Occupational Safety Council, contributing to continuous safety improvements
Qualifications
* University degree in engineering or a related field, plus formal occupational safety qualification (e.g., Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit)
* Proven hands-on experience in implementing safety programs in a manufacturing environment
* Broad HSE knowledge with expertise in areas such as Operational Excellence, risk assessments, ISO 45001, incident investigation, shopfloor audits, and systematic problem solving
* Experience as a trainer and in managing organizational change
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to prepare clear, decision-oriented reports and safety analyses
* Strategic mindset with the ability to switch between operational and strategic topics and prioritize effectively
* Fluent in English and business fluent in German (spoken and written); willingness to travel internationally up to 50%
