The Vice President of Services and Technical Presales will play a pivotal role in aligning our pre- and post-sales functions to drive consistent value realization for our customers. This executive will lead two critical teams — the technical presales organization and the professional services organization — with the shared goal of delivering exceptional customer outcomes, improving time-to-value, and reinforcing our solution differentiation throughout the customer lifecycle.
Your challenge
1. Leadership & Strategy
* Develop and execute the strategic vision for the Services and Technical Presales organizations in alignment with company growth objectives.
* Establish scalable engagement models that drive repeatable, high-value outcomes across the customer journey.
2. Pre-sales Execution
* Oversee technical solution consulting, value engineering, and sales engineering teams responsible for pre-sale discovery, solution design, and business case development.
* Ensure the presales team is equipped to support value-based selling frameworks (e.g., MEDDPICC, Command of the Message) and engage at all levels of a customer’s organization — including Economic, Technical, and Implementation stakeholders.
3. Services Delivery
* Lead the professional services function, including solution implementation, onboarding, and customer enablement.
* Ensure delivery excellence and customer satisfaction while optimizing resource utilization and gross margin.
4. Cross-Functional Alignment
* Serve as a strategic partner to Sales, Product, and Customer Success to ensure consistent messaging, streamlined handoffs, and unified customer engagement.
* Lead the development and continuous improvement of our value messaging, discovery methodology, and customer onboarding processes.
5. Team Development
* Build and mentor high-performing technical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and customer-centric innovation.
* Champion ongoing enablement, career development, and operational excellence within the team.
6. Customer Engagement
* Represent the Services and Pre-sales functions with customers and partners, participating in strategic pursuits and executive-level engagements.
* Support the sales process by contributing to enterprise deal strategy, proposal development, and solution validation efforts.
Your profile
* 10+ years of experience in technical sales, professional services, or solutions consulting leadership roles, with 5+ years in executive-level positions.
* Proven success leading and scaling both presales and post-sales teams in high-growth, B2B technology organizations (preferably SaaS or enterprise software).
* Deep experience with value-based sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Solution Selling, Challenger, or Command of the Message.
* Strong understanding of enterprise buying committees, including Economic Buyers, Technical Evaluators, and Implementation Owners.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence across cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
* Track record of building scalable programs that align technical resources with revenue goals and customer success metrics.
* Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
