Description The Category Manager is key in the commercial team in DACH with focus on driving strategic initiatives to grow brand, channels & category. She/He is responsible for generating category & shopper insights supporting the company goals with target-oriented marketing plans. She/He manages trade promotion, and sales activities, including planning, execution, and in-store delivery along with production of POSM/displays, trade promotions, and field tracking agencies. This position will directly report to Associate Category Director NCE and is set up as hybrid work, with a candidate ideally located in the Frankfurt area. Responsibilities Regular analysis and monitoring of consumer and market data. Generating category insights and derive recommendations for brand and customer. Analysis and optimization of the product offer of our customers in the different channels and improvement of shelf layouts as well as category activation. Implement central marketing programs with local amplification. Be the brand gatekeeper - ensure consistent brand design and positioning in all markets. Develop and execute country-specific marketing strategies and campaigns for B2C and B2B. Collaborate with external partners, cross-functional departments as well as central team. Budget planning and control of Marketing budget for DACH Qualifications What we are looking for: Completed university degree in business administration or equivalent (alternative min. bachelor’s degree in BA) Min. 4-6 years working experience in FMCG or similar industry. Ideally experience in Category Management and/or in Commercial Planning in a sizeable FMCG company. (Knowledge of German trade structures is advantageous.) Strong analytical skills.
