Your role
As a trainee Dutch translator you will:
1. translate (non-legal) texts from English into Dutch;
2. revise and proofread texts in Dutch;
3. help to identify, extract and compile terminology, particularly in the fields of economics and finance;
4. align previously translated documents so they can be added to our translation memory databases.

Qualifications, experience and skills
Essential:
5. a bachelor’s degree or higher in modern languages or translation;
6. familiarity with computer-assisted translation tools;
7. a good knowledge of the MS Office package;
8. a mastery-level (C2) command of Dutch and an advanced (C1) command of English, according to the .
Desired:
9. completed courses in translation from English into Dutch and/or experience in English into Dutch translation;
10. an interest in financial and economic affairs;
11. an intermediate (B1) command of another official EU language.
