Your Future Role
2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape in Hennigsdorf the future of rail mobility.
Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report directly to Isabelle Caron – Site Managing Director and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
You will manage the extensive a portfolio of proposals and projects (at the project or subsystem level) of the site through a team responsible for (quality, cost, delivery, and performance) tendering and project delivery, being also regularly the deputy for the site managing director. Work closely with all contributing functions and interfaces and be responsible for implementing the tender/bids & projects processes at the location, managing various project management disciplines where relevant (such as documentation, configuration control).

Offer Bid and Project Portfolio Coordination
1. Achieving the company's strategic goals while minimizing portfolio risks.
2. Ensuring the availability of capabilities and capacity per portfolio.
3. Ensuring that each portfolio creates optimal value for the entire organization.
4. Instilling a culture of daily accountability to deliver to cost, on time and to quality
5. Monitoring the outcomes and performance of tenders and most importantly acting on gaps and risks
6. Responsible for ensuring project execution at the site
7. Regularly reporting to the site management team on key issues and risks related to tenders and projects within the scope of responsibility.
8. Ensuring a local partnership with the Site MD by defining shared and agreed priorities aligned with profitability goals.
9. Contributing to the optimal utilization of the organization's resources.
Bid & Project Team Management
10. Managing and developing bid managers, project managers, subsystem managers, and project management roles.
11. Balancing workload within the team, particularly around specific milestones of a proposal/project (initiation phase, completion, etc.).
Operational Support for the Bid & Project Team
12. Monitoring projects' QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) and risk development: cash, sales, design for quality, milestones, and progress (manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and warranty...).
13. Ensuring good support from the departments to the project managers or subsystem managers for daily operations.
14. Supporting risk management and mitigation plans.
15. Ensuring continuous improvement and promoting a culture of progress, including making own suggestions and supporting improvement initiatives in tenders and projects (during project reviews).
16. Contributing to action plans in process, product, and organization.
Processes
17. Be Accountable to deploy the Project & Bid function processes on site (incl. transformation programs such as PM2020)
18. Be either responsible to act as Process Correspondent, or accountable to appoint a Process Correspondent for Project & Bid function processes to be deployed at site level
19. Be responsible, with his/her site team, to capture Return of Experience (REX) for process reviews, or for any other continuous improvement initiatives related to the Project & Bid Métiers
20. Participate to Internal/External Audits as required, in relation to the Bid & Project Métiers
