Job Summary:
Responsible for Technical Inspections. This will cover all areas and systems within the vessels that require technical competence. The Inspector will ensure that shipboard technical installations meet the specifications and all applicable statuary and class requirements. Setup of Amos maintenance and spare part system.
This position is on-site in Papenburg, Germany.
Responsibilities:
1. Inspect technical installations to verify conformance with specifications and applicable rules, regulations and standards.
2. Technical installation of machinery systems and technical systems such as laundry, galleys, pantries, cabins, theme park attractions, pools and Jacuzzis, waste systems.
3. Ensures that the assessment of the shipyard drawings are completed in good time and valid comments passed to the shipyard teams using the shipyard’s drawing approval system.
4. Attends any required Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and ensures these are carried out as per relevant requirements and standards.
5. Works with the Class Society and the shipyard to ensure that all present and foreseen regulatory legislation has been adhered to within the build process.
6. Coordinates and assist DCL crew who will take over the operation of the ship.
7. Maintains a positive attitude and open communication.
8. Promotes a safety culture among team members and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
9. Amos database.
10. Contact vendors to obtain description of components installed, recommended spare parts, maintenance job description and frequency. Enter the data into Amos database.
11. Integrated in procurement process with it synch and purchasing officers.
12. Verification of incoming gods per purchase orders, receiving all spare parts with a designated store location and add labels to spare parts and components.
13. Performs other duties as assigned by the company’s Technical Superintendent.
Qualifications:
14. Minimum 5 years’ of experience in shipbuilding, or maritime engineering.
15. Familiarity with ship classification societies and regulatory bodies.
16. Strong knowledge of marine systems, propulsion, power plants, and piping systems.
17. Ability to review and provide comments on technical drawings and system technical descriptions
18. Proficiency in inspection techniques, quality control, and commissioning procedures.
19. Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
20. Strong verbal and written communication skills to prepare reports and liaise with stakeholders.
21. Ability to work in a fast-paced, international, and multi-disciplinary environment.

24. Fluency in English
Education:
25. Bachelor degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
