A leading global mechanical engineering company in the field of biochar carbon removal (BCR), which develops and manufactures innovative plants for the recycling of organic residues with about 100 employees, is looking for the Chief Sales Officer.
The company, which has a strong presence in Europe and the USA, is based in Rhineland-Palatinate. With a clear vision and a turnover in the mid-double-digit million range, the company aims for excellence and a continuous annual growth target of 100%.
Your tasks
* Further development and implementation of a comprehensive sales strategy to increase market share, especially in the USA and Europe.
* Achievement of sales targets and optimization of existing sales processes.
* Management, motivation, and further development of the international sales team.
* Conducting detailed market analysis to identify new business opportunities and trends.
* Establishment and maintenance of long-term international business relationships with key customers and partners.
* Optimization of existing sales channels and development of new ones.
* Regular reporting on sales performance, market trends, and strategic recommendations.
* Close cooperation with other departments such as R&D, project management, and customer service to provide comprehensive support for the sales strategy.
Your profile
* At least 10 years of demonstrably successful and international sales, contract negotiation, and closing experience, preferably in high-priced one-off mechanical engineering or in related manufacturing industries. Track record as ‘high ticket closer’ desirable!
* Strong communication skills at eye level with customers, shareholders, and all other internal and external stakeholders.
* Fluent in English and at least a good knowledge of German.
* Proven experience in building and leading international teams.
* Willingness to work in non-European travel activities as well as for the support of international trade fair appearances.
* Degree in engineering or business administration (or comparable degree) – preferably supplemented by environmental qualifications. There should be a demonstrable technical and commercial affinity to understand the market and industry requirements.
* A passion for BCR / CDR as well as previous experience with thermal conversion of biomass / biosolids would be a plus.
