Who will you be joining?
The H8 Division of Allianz SE manages the global Asset Management businesses (PIMCO, Allianz Global Investors, Allianz X, Allianz Asset Management Holding), Allianz Life in the US, Allianz Global Life, and the Global Center of Competence Life (responsible for Allianz global Life insurance strategy).
How can you make an impact?
As Executive Assistant, you will support the Member of the Board of Management of H8 in all content-related and technical (non-administrative) topics required for the effective day-to-day management of the division. You will also have the opportunity to participate in projects (e.g. M&As) focused on our strategic priorities and long-term strategy.
You will:
* Support the H8 board member by managing the briefing process for both internal (e.g. board meetings, strategic planning process) and external engagements and meetings (e.g. conferences, speeches)
* Partner with teams across the firm to create and support executive level presentation for high priority strategic initiatives
* Ensure proper connectivity across H8 divisional colleagues (e.g. Business Division Asset Management, Business Division Life, CEO Offices AZ Life, AGI, PIMCO) and H8 board member by representing and communicating strategic priorities, board meeting debriefs and to dos
* Contribute to strategic projects (including acquisitions, partnerships, market entry analysis) driven by the H8 business divisions and board office
* Act as sparring partner to the H8 board member by assessing and preparing recommendations for board or committee decisions (e.g. Group M&A committee)
* Prepare and organize a variety of senior management events (e.g. offsite)
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* An interest in the asset management and/or life insurance industry
* A desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and sense of urgency, especially under pressure
* High energy, positive “can-do” attitude and an ability to work as a team player
* Ability to manage complex, interdepartmental projects in a professional, inclusive and deadline-driven fashion
* Mastery in MS Office
* Langue skills: English (fluent) mandatory, German is a plus
Experience & skills
* Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with strong record of academic achievement,
* 2+ years of experience in asset management, life insurance or corporate finance / consulting
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; strategic and creative thinking
* Ability to deliver with a sense of urgency, responding to tight deadlines and multiple demands
