The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Global Energy Vertical Portfolio leader at 3M, you will lead 3Ms portfolio innovation direction for the Hydrogen market This will be accomplished partnering with a team of key account managers, applications engineers and product developers focused on aligning 3M Material Science Capabilities with the hydrogen markets most critical design challenges. Your growth minded leadership skills will thrive your build the relationships, objectives and strategies to connect 3M with market innovation leaders.
As an Energy Vertical Portfolio Leader (m/f*), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
1. Conducting market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape in the hydrogen sector, gathering critical vertical insights through primary and secondary research with commercial, academic, and government leaders.
2. Develop and implement technical strategies to advance the company's hydrogen initiatives, including driving current products into the market and road mapping customer and industry needs.
3. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, partnerships, and investments in the hydrogen market based on sound business cases and technical feasibility.
4. Provide expertise and guidance on hydrogen production, storage, and distribution technologies, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory compliance.
5. Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and business development teams to drive innovation and ensure successful project execution.
6. You will establish a collaborative innovation prioritization process to focus on energy vertical design challenges. Prepare and present technical reports, white papers, and presentations to stakeholders and senior management, including funding proposals to various governmental agencies and consortiums.
7. Represent the company at industry conferences, workshops, and networking events to promote the company's hydrogen initiatives and gather insights to fuel market growth and develop unique solutions.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
8. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field or higher
9. Fundamental expirience in working in the hydrogen sector
10. Current, valid Driver’s License.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
11. Master’s degree in Business Administration
12. Demonstrated Market Research, Information Analysis, and Technology Comprehension.
13. Doctorate degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science or a related field or higher.
14. Strong understanding of hydrogen production, storage, and distribution technologies.
