The Robert Bosch Center for Tumor Diseases (RBCT) is a new translational cancer research institute located on the Bosch Health Campus in Stuttgart, Germany. We are closely linked to the Robert Bosch Hospital (RBK) and the Institute for Clinical Pharmacology (IKP) and are part of the Comprehensive Cancer Center Stuttgart-Tübingen.
Our research focuses on cellular identity regulation through transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms, using high-throughput omics data.
We are seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatician to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge research in single-cell transcriptomics and spatial omics data analysis. This position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale datasets, develop reproducible bioinformatics pipelines, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of computational and experimental researchers. Our research focuses on cancer-related projects, including tumor microenvironment analysis, drug resistance mechanisms, and biomarker discovery for precision oncology.
Develop and implement bioinformatics workflows for single-cell RNA-seq and spatial omics data analysis .
Optimize and apply nextflow/ nf-core pipelines for data processing and analysis.
Analyze spatial transcriptomics data to study tissue architecture and cellular interactions.
Work on high-performance computing (HPC) environments, ensuring efficient and scalable data processing.
Develop custom scripts and software tools to enhance analytical capabilities.
Sc. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or a related field .
Strong experience in single-cell transcriptomics (scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, etc.) Proficiency in R and Python for bioinformatics and statistical analysis.
Hands-on experience with nf-core pipelines and Nextflow .
Familiarity with open-source bioinformatics tools for single-cell analysis (e.g., Solid understanding of machine learning approaches applied to biological data.
Experience with visualization techniques for single-cell and spatial omics data.
Contributions to open-source bioinformatics projects.
Benefits:
A stimulating research environment at the intersection of computational and experimental biology.
Engage in high-impact research projects that contributes to advances in cancer treatment.
Opportunities for professional development, co-authorship in scientific publications and conference participation.
Competitive salary and benefits package.
