Mission You will be part of a specialized team in charge of depositor and investor protection. You will actively participate in the departments day to day tasks by contributing to its proper functioning in general and by bringing in new ideas in particular. Following the entry into force of the Law of 18 December 2015 on the failure of credit institutions and certain investment firms, the missions exercised in the past by the Association pour la Garantie des Depts, Luxembourg (AGDL, Deposit Guarantee Association, Luxembourg) have been taken over by the Fonds de garantie des depts Luxembourg (FGDL, Luxembourg Deposit Guarantee Fund) and the Systeme dindemnisation des investisseurs Luxembourg (SIIL, Investor Compensation Scheme Luxembourg). The Conseil de protection des deposants et des investisseurs (CPDI, Council for the Protection of Depositors and Investors), an internal executive body of the CSSF, is the designated authority which administers the FGDL and the SIIL. Role & responsibilities Ensure legal and regulatory monitoring in general and in particular in cooperation with other relevant CSSFs departments [including prudential supervision and resolution departments], the Ministry of Finance and the Association des Banques et Banquiers, Luxembourg (ABBL, Luxembourg Bankers Association) Participation to the implementation, update and follow up of procedures, regulations and management tools that are necessary for the proper functioning of the FGDL and the SIIL Analyze reportings received by the PDI department (survey on covered deposits, volume of covered investment claims,) and assess the risks and impact on the financial resources and the operational capability of the FGDL and the SIIL in case of their activation Participate to on site inspections and monitor the follow up of the remediation measures Take part in international working groups (European Forum of Deposit Insurers, EFDI / European Banking Authority, EBA), follow up the publication and ensure that the FGDL contributes efficiently to international work Follow up on the work of Resolution colleges for which the PDI department is a member/observer Follow up and implement new bilateral cooperation agreements between the FGDL and other deposit guarantee schemes Contribute to inquiries and questionnaires from EU supervisory authorities or other deposit guarantee schemes addressed to the FGDL Engage in the preparation of calls for public tenders within the legal framework of public procurement legislation Assess and follow up the necessary improvements to be implemented in the FGDL IT application depending on the real life compensation cases faced in during past or current FGDL reimbursement caigns Contribute to the upgrade of the SCV file (Single Customer View) based on the observations made during past reimbursement caigns Contribute to the analysis of practical questions raised by market players and update the Frequently Asked Questions Draft legal opinions and overarch
