Who are we? Europace is a pioneer in financing technology in Germany and has been a leading FinTech since its founding in 1999 in Berlin. Today, it is a subsidiary of Hypoport SE. Each of our products, from platform to app, is designed to enable people to make financial decisions faster, easier, and with maximum autonomy, whether it's construction financing or personal loans. Europace technology drives entire markets. It makes banks future-proof and financial service providers into digital trailblazers. The Developer Productivity Engineering Team is responsible for the cloud infrastructure at Europace. 16 internal product teams deploy and operate their containerized and serverless workloads using our user-friendly, reliable, and secure internal products. The Kubernetes-based container platform is one of these products, enabling teams to operate their microservices. An observability stack based on OpenTelemetry and Grafana is another product that provides our users with insights to identify bottlenecks and resolve production issues. We are driven by the continuous improvement of our products, our tech stack, our collaboration, and ourselves. Our goal is technical excellence to provide cost-effective products that our users enjoy and that we are proud of. What tasks await you? You will take on the content and personnel leadership of the DevPro team, develop your team members, and ensure that they work efficiently and purposefully. You will ensure effective collaboration with other teams and the Europace Technical Decision Board, thereby maximizing the impact of the DevPro team's work. You will update, simplify, and operate the mission-critical infrastructure on which all Europace products are based, allowing our users to operate their workloads independently. You will actively work on our DevPro products, conduct proof-of-concepts and experiments to make them safer, more reliable, efficient, and user-friendly. You will automate recurring tasks, provide cloud infrastructure, and implement microservices. You will make technical decisions in collaboration with other tech leads and document them (e.g., in RFCs). You will support other teams in using our products and occasionally take on user support tasks. What do we expect from you? Experience in (strategic) leadership of platform teams and in the development of team members. Proficient in coding and open to learning new technologies. Responsibility for the team's success by independently structuring projects and distributing tasks. Team spirit, open communication, and a passion for continuously improving collaboration. Practical experience with AWS and Kubernetes, ideally with CNCF projects. Knowledge of TypeScript and/or Python or the ability to learn these quickly. Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., CDK, CloudFormation). Appreciation for and willingness to create high-quality documentation. Enjoyment of working in a distributed, remote-working team. What can you expect from us? A workplace free from stereotypes The energy of our teams grows with the diversity and perspectives that everyone brings. Full-time or part-time? Childcare, mental health, caring for relatives, re-entering the workforce after a long break—regardless of the reasons you cannot or do not want to work full-time, part-time is equally possible with us. We are inclusive Whether it's special aids, specific needs, or other barriers, we are motivated to find a solution so that you can work as barrier-free as possible with us.
