Global Non-IT Procurement, operating under the umbrella of Global Sourcing and Procurement, plays a vital role in the acquisition of services and solutions on a global scale. With a focus on four key categories Professional Services and HR, Marketing and Communication, Insurance and Facility Management, Logistics and Energy the department ensures that its internal stakeholders have their needs met efficiently and effectively. By building collaborative partnerships, it creates an environment that promotes open communication, transparency, mutually beneficial outcomes by fostering strong relationships with both internal business partners and network of suppliers.
The team is comprised by strategic procurement experts who leverage their extensive industry knowledge and experience to manage a worldwide network of suppliers. Moreover, constantly seeking innovative solutions to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational productivity through continuous market research, supplier evaluation and risk management, maintaining the organization’s competitive and agile approach.
Through careful supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management, it strives to secure the best value for the organization, while maintaining high standards of quality and service. Thus, allowing further a proper development and implementation of the procurement strategies that align with the Group’s goals, drive sustainable growth and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
The Strategic Buyer will be reporting to the Global Head of Marketing & Communication Procurement and will be managing global procurement projects for the Marketing & Communication category demands (Creative & Ad Production, PR/Communication, etc.), that align with the overall business objectives and deliver maximum value for the organization.
How can you make an impact?
You will:
* Manage the Marketing & Communication Procurement commodities, supplier strategy, contract negotiations, savings methodology, usage of SAP ARIBA, e-auctioning and reducing risk across the supply chain
* Analyze national, regional and international procurement markets as well as benchmarking considering “best practice” and “total cost of ownership” approaches within Marketing
* Participate in cost reduction projects within Marketing based on in depth analysis of spend figures to achieve the procurement goals as well as cost reduction targets
* Negotiate advantageous terms and conditions, create significant value to stakeholders for cost effectiveness, flexibility and efficiency of providers by coordinating the execution of end to end process
* Ensure compliance of supplier agreements to business specific requirement including company relevant legal terms & conditions and apply AZ group compliance and ESG guidelines
* Project management – also on C-Level: Strategic planning and implementation of global and local tenders with the involvement of various departments as well as national companies and management of project teams
* Oversee supplier relationship management for our global providers, including managing contracts, KPIs, conducting Quarterly Business Reviews, and implementing risk reduction strategies
* Work closely with the respective Allianz Business team in order to identify opportunities to improve performance and savings in the Allianz spend
* Create new ways of working in Allianz's purchasing practice and to develop innovative negotiation methods
* Support and advise the business departments on purchasing processes as well as the market situation and development, adaptation to the growing flexibility needs of the marketing departments
* Conduct strategic spend analysis to optimize sourcing strategies and value for money, including identifying bundling opportunities
* Cooperate with key (senior) stakeholders, functional departments and procurement colleagues on a global level
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of working experience in marketing procurement of an international operating company or in global project management in matrix organizations
* Successfully completed master studies in a commercial or technical area, marketing/ business studies advantageous
* Fundamental understanding of how the marketing industry operates and a knowledge of the key suppliers in the market
* Good understanding of digital and developing technologies within marketing fields
* Proficiency in analyzing intricate data and providing recommendations for future category strategies, including opportunities for bundling
* Strong Experience on how to engage OEs (Operating Entities) to collaboratively fulfill Group Procurement and other overarching targets
* Autonomous style of working. In the same time collaborative and team oriented
* Experience of marketing procurement in this area is crucial to ensure that ongoing projects are successfully executed
* Excellent communication skills in English and German essential
* Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong data analytical and conceptual skills
* Experience of working in environments with high complexity and proven analytical, strategic and management skills
* Competence to effectively align with different stakeholders and to cooperate with diverse internal and external senior audiences
* Ability to influence others without authority
* Hands-on approach involving the necessary skills / functions to successfully accomplish tasks and targets
* Team oriented, preferably with working experience in international teams
* Good understanding of overall procurement processes including procure-to-pay and relevant industry tools
* Expertise in utilizing MS Office Products, SAP Ariba (Source to Contract), and conducting various e-auctioning techniques
