We are looking for a Site Construction Planner/Scheduler
Function
* Develop and Maintain Project Schedules: Create and regularly update the project master schedule, detailing all construction activities, milestones, and deadlines.
* Critical Path Analysis: Identify the critical path and potential bottlenecks that could delay project progress.
* Resource Planning: Plan and allocate resources efficiently to meet project timelines.
* Interface with EPC Contractors: Act as the primary point of contact between the Owner Engineer team and EPC contractors for schedule-related matters.
* Coordination of Construction Activities: Ensure that all construction activities are coordinated and scheduled properly to avoid conflicts and delays.
* Progress Monitoring: Track and report the progress of construction activities against the established schedule.
* Participate in Construction Management Meetings and Project Meetings.
* Regular Progress Reports: Prepare and present regular progress reports to the Owner Engineer team, highlighting any deviations from the schedule and their potential impact.
* Stakeholder Communication: Communicate schedule status, changes, and risks to key stakeholders, including project management and client representatives.
* Schedule Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all schedule-related changes, decisions, and communications.
* Risk Identification: Identify schedule risks, such as delays in material delivery, contractor performance issues, or unforeseen site conditions.
* Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks and minimize their impact on the project timeline.
* Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that the scheduling and planning processes comply with contractual obligations and industry standards.
* Quality Checks: Work with QA/QC teams to ensure that the project schedule aligns with quality assurance processes and standards.
* Change Requests Evaluation: Evaluate the impact of change orders on the project schedule and provide input for decision-making.
* Schedule Adjustments: Adjust the project schedule as necessary to accommodate approved changes.
* Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to schedule performance, including productivity rates and delays.
* Continuous Improvement: Use schedule performance data to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in scheduling.
* Site Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to verify the progress of construction activities and ensure they align with the project schedule.
* On-Site Problem Solving: Address on-site issues that could impact the schedule and work collaboratively with contractors to find solutions.
* Contractor Schedule Review: Review and approve EPC contractors’ schedules, ensuring they meet project requirements and milestones.
* Contractual Compliance: Ensure that the EPC contractors adhere to the contractual schedule commitments.
* Team Training: Provide training and guidance to project team members on scheduling and planning best practices.
* Mentorship: Mentor junior staff and new team members on project planning and scheduling methodologies.
Requirements
* In this role, the Site Construction Planner and Scheduler must possess strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
* They must also be familiar with scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project), have a solid understanding of construction processes, and be capable of working under tight deadlines.
* The position requires the ability to work closely with various stakeholders, including the client, contractors, and other project team members, to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
