Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
This position is full-time or part-time with a minimum of 30h/week.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
1. In your role as Software Configuration Manager for CT Scanner SW in R&D, you ensure transparency and accountability in all activities and processes related to configuration management and software packaging. You collaborate closely with our international team and partner projects (e.g., D&A, CT post-processing) to deliver clear, reliable, and high-quality software packages
2. You write detailed configuration management plans, manage external software integrations, perform builds using automated tools, package the software, and support the preparation of development and test environments to ensure reproducibility and reliability
3. You create comprehensive project milestone reports, including code review summaries and software configuration reports. You are responsible for archiving various project artifacts, such as packages and documents, and represent our team on behalf of the project during CM audits
4. Working with our integration team, you monitor our build farm, analyze and resolve issues, and drive the continuous improvement and expansion of our automated build and release pipelines. You leverage state-of-the-art tools and monitoring systems to enhance the reliability and efficiency of our products
5. You coordinate configuration management efforts with integration managers, project managers, and software architects, ensuring consistency and reliability across all project stages
6. You establish and maintain close networking with partner projects to create seamless, cross-product software delivery pathways. You ensure that delivered software packages are reliable, reproducible, and free from installation issues
7. You develop proofs of concepts and prototypes to address upcoming technical challenges and process questions, fostering innovation and forward-thinking solutions within the team

Your qualifications and experience:
8. You have successfully completed a masters degree in Computer Science, Medical Engineering or a similar field
9. You have many years of relevant professional experience in the field of software configuration management or equivalent experience in related areas (integration management, software development)
10. You are familiar with the principles of "Infrastructure as Code" and have hands-on experience with related tools. This is based on your solid programming skills
11. You are highly proficient with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Azure DevOps Server; you can easily work with source code management systems such as Git or TFVC
12. Additionally, you have advanced knowledge of scripting technologies like PowerShell as well as packaging and repository tools like Wix, Nuget or Artifactory
