ManTech is seeking a skilled, professional and service-oriented Safety Manager III to join our vehicle sustainment team. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Agriculture Cleaning and African Swine Fever Sanitization (ACAS) program. The Safety Manager III implements and maintains safety programs and policies within the organization, ensuring compliance with local, state, and Federal regulations, as well as industry best practices. They conduct regular inspections, audits, and training sessions to promote a safe and healthy work environment. The Safety Specialist II receives direction from the Safety Manager III. This position supports Program Management activities, TOR Tasks and SubTasks as indicated in support of ACAS execution as part of the PMO Safety capability area and will support ACAS activities from the assigned work location of Waldmohr, Germany. Important Note : Selected candidates without an ACTIVE German/E.U. Work Visa will be required to work the first 60 days in a Temporary role while obtaining their Visa. Once an E.U. Work Visa is approved, then you will be offered a Full-Time German Contract. If accepted, then you will be subjected to paying German taxes, obtaining German Healthcare, and working within the guidelines of the German labor system. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - They develop and implement safety programs and policies, identify potential hazards, and recommend corrective actions. - They provide training and education to employees on safety procedures, Emergency Response Plans, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). - They investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures. - Assist in developing and maintaining a comprehensive safety culture across the program. - Stay current with safety regulations and industry best practices and communicate relevant updates. - Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions. - Assist in the development and implementation of Emergency Response Plans, procedures, and participate in safety committees and meetings to provide input and recommendations for improving safety practices. - Conduct risk assessments, developing strategies to mitigate potential hazards. They supervise the maintenance of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) as guided by ANSI Z400.1. - Coordinate with the Trainer and Maintainer Specialists to ensure deploying personnel have received personal safety training. They support the management, revision, and publication of the ACAS Safety Plan on a bi-annual basis or as required by the PM. - Assist the Safety Manager III in preparing a Safety Plan for each CSR in accordance with applicable Army, DoD, and OSHA standards, including HAZMAT-specific safety issues, PPE, contingency plans for severe weather, critical lift procedures, and other applicable topics in Appendix A of Engineer Manual (EM) 385-1-1. They update each CSR Safety Plan as needed to include site-specific safety requirements. They proactively support the ACAS Safety Plan. Required Qualifications : - Must obtain or already have an active Germany/E.U. Work VISA to be considered. - Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements, if needed. - BA/BS degree (Permitted experience exchange: High School and 6 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 4 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree)9 years of work experience - Four (4) years of experience. - Three (3) years of position specific relevant experience. - Understanding and ability to interpret OSHA, ANSI, NFPA and other regulatory standards appropriately and provide adequate consultation to management on compliance with those standards. - Experience providing administrative support and coordination to a contract, project or task - Must possess a Valid Driver's License for the location in which the work will be performed. Preferred Qualifications: - CSP, CIH, CHST, or OHST certification. Familiar with Engineer Manual (EM) 385-1-1 (Safety and Health Requirements Manual) requirements. - Safety & Health Fundamentals Certificate Program; Global Safety Management Certificate Program provided by the American Society for Safety Professionals. - Battalion/Brigade-level Ground Safety Program lead. - Experience with leading a Safety Program at a business or on contract program of similar size to ACAS. Familiarity with ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems; ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management Systems. Advanced Training in Epidemiology and Infection Control (ATEIC) Clearance Requirements: - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Physical Requirements: - Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel. - Must be able to push, pull, and reach. - Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard for long periods of time.
