A leading Engineering company is looking for an ambitious and motivated Project Procurement Manager to join their rapidly growing team. They are specialists in designing and engineering facilities for many complex industries.
Responsibilities
1. Planning of the necessary Project related Procurement resources in alignment with functional lead.
2. Establish a comprehensive project resource and mobilisation plan.
3. Attend all Project Progress Meetings in order to identify the scope of procurement services required for the project and anticipate potential revisions.
4. Ensure the Purchase Orders are issued in compliance with Project schedule and budget (or target).
5. Assure that changing market conditions are assessed, analysed and communicated so that market opportunities may be realised.
6. Responsible for quality, costs and on-time delivery of the material and services for the Project and mitigate schedule risks related to long lead and critical path items.
7. Manage claims and variation orders with vendors in close cooperation with Commercial Management and Purchasing.
8. Support Purchasing in contract negotiations.
9. Participate in periodic Project meetings with Quality, Engineering, Scheduling, etc.
Qualifications
1. Successfully completed business or engineering degree or commercial/technical training.
2. Good knowledge of project contract management and contract law.
3. Several years of professional experience in project purchasing.
4. Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
5. Analytical thinking, independent working style and excellent negotiation skills.
6. Independent recognition and solution of problems.
7. Team and communication skills, ability to work under pressure.
