Your Tasks
* Responsible for leading a small team from the various areas of the Finance department
* Strategic management of our accounting and finance department
* Responsible for the timely completion of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (HGB & IFRS)
* Development of budget and forecast plans that shape the future of our company
* In-depth analysis and targeted planning of our liquidity and profitability for sustainable growth
* Active cost management and steering in close cooperation with all relevant business functions
* Detailed cash flow forecasting, focusing on the working capital cycle
* Identification, assessment, and management of financial risks, including exchange rate risk, credit risk, interest rate risk, and fraud
* Ensuring compliance with international tax regulations, VAT management, and optimizing tax liabilities
* Collaboration and optimization of payment processes with partners – globally networked and solution-oriented
* You report directly to the Managing Director of Eurowings Holidays and act as a trusted contact person for auditors, banks, tax consultants, and colleagues for financial excellence
* Responsible for projects to introduce new financial systems - and thus the opportunity to actively shape innovation
* Take on special projects and tasks that particularly require knowledge in the financial sector
Your Profile
* Degree in economics with a focus on finance and accounting, financial reporting, business administration, finance & management, or equivalent
* Ideally, you are a certified accountant (in German “Bilanzbuchhalter (all genders)”) or hold a comparable qualification
* Min. 8 years of professional and management experience in a comparable role - ideally in the tourism industry
* Experience in the digitalization and automation of processes
* Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
* Business fluency in German and English
* Very good MS Office skills, especially in Excel
* Impressive communication and moderation skills, very good analytical skills, and a high degree of assertiveness and enthusiasm
* Strong leadership skills
