Main responsibilities
* Work with transaction originator and portfolio manager to underwrite new deals being involved in the whole process from deal screening through to deal execution.
* Build investment cash flow models for new deals and write investment committee papers.
* Manage the deal due diligence process.
* Attend site visits and probe construction progress.
* Monitoring of facility agreements and other contractual arrangements including compliance with financial covenants and delivery of asset management milestones.
Requirements
* Experience in real estate debt financing.
* Understanding of credit risks and mitigants for lenders.
* Strong familiarity with real estate finance legal documentation.
* Good technical knowledge of available transaction security and typical enforcement options.
* Strong modelling skills with experience in building, adjusting and updating excel cashflow models.
