Technical Account Manager - Vegetable Seeds Business, Lower Saxony (all genders)
The Agronomy Technology Sales Executive (alle genders) is responsible for driving demand and selling seeds to growers, distributors, and agricultural retailers. This role requires a deep understanding of agronomy and strong sales skills to provide tailored recommendations, support customers, and grow market share. Collaboration with key internal teams is essential to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* You coordinate and conduct field-based applied research for local product placement and tailored solutions under local farming conditions, ensuring optimal results
* Embracing digital tools is part of your role, including CRM tools and technologies, where you utilize data and insights to offer customer-focused solutions and enhance dealers’ and partners’ capabilities; generating high-quality data and insights to strengthen the company’s understanding of our customers is your responsibility
* You use your agronomic and portfolio knowledge to provide market and competitor insights, advise stakeholders, and transfer knowledge on crop production/management best practices while positioning tailored solutions effectively
* Securing alignment with the Customer Facing Squad/Unit commercial strategy is key to your role; you develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market penetration for our seed products. Identifying and prioritizing sales opportunities, prospecting new customers, and cultivating strong relationships with existing clients are all part of your responsibilities
* Driving demand creation by creating awareness about our varieties and solutions across the full chain (grower, distributors, packers, traders, retailers, packaging companies, etc.) is crucial to your success; you conduct field visits, seed demonstrations, and trials to showcase the performance and benefits of our seed products
* You drive new product launches and implement local launch strategies for new vegetable seed products and/or solutions; collaborating with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies, promotional programs, and sales initiatives is a key part of your role
* You give the demand signal through the forecasting process, furthermore, collecting payment from your customers is your responsibility

* You hold a minimum BSc. in agricultural or life sciences, such as horticulture, genetics, plant pathology, entomology, or agricultural business
* You have several years of experience in open field vegetables and strong agronomic knowledge and deep understanding of crop production practices, soil science, and seed technology; furthermore, crop knowledge on onion and carrot is an advantage
* Your strength lies in being highly analytical, enabling you to convert data into practical-applied knowledge and solutions for partners and customers
* Your excellent computer skills and understanding of digital tools are key assets in your role
* Being self-motivated with a results-driven mindset is your hallmark, and you focus on outcomes while fostering a co-creation approach; your dedication to customer focus is evident in everything you do
* You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
* Your willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory, including occasional international travel, and your possession of a “B” category driving license are essential for this role
