What You'll Do:
1. Lead all aspects of the country Compliance Program and support the Management in order to promote a culture of compliance
2. Be a trusted advisor to the Senior Management on all compliance regulations in the country
3. Report to the General Manager, Compliance Boards and internal Compliance Committees compliance risk assessment processes and review their results
4. Act as a channel of communication, advisory and cross-functional coordination for the business on compliance-related matters
5. Be point of contact to receive, evaluate and direct compliance issues to the appropriate resources for investigation and resolution
6. Monitor management and employee compliance with relevant rules and regulations as well as company policies and standards of conduct
7. Support compliance trainings as well as develop their content
8. Oversee potential risks and issues; facilitate remediation processes, including identifying action owners, timelines, and resolution plans for critical issues etc.
9. Maintain regular cadence of compliance meetings with the senior management and as well as cross-functional teams
10. Monitor anti-bribery and corruption as well as conflict of interest controls
11. Engage with Legal, Finance, Human Resources and other cross-organizational compliance counterparts in order to assist with program recommendations based on the evolving local legislative - and regulatory environment
12. Provide the requested support in regards to compliance issues to cross-functional teams, including but not limited to internal audit, legal, tax and operations
Country/region specific duties:
13. Communication with regulatory authorities on compliance topics upon request, and when relevant and obtaining clarifications on new legislation
14. Support of internal and external audits
15. Support of the local country data protection and privacy framework with alignment with the global corporate program
Who You Are:
Technical and soft skills. You possess:
16. Detailed knowledge and past experience in Compliance Management or Risk Management role (5-10 years’ experience in a similar role)
17. Previous experience in working for global, multi-national corporation
18. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written & spoken, in English and German
19. Ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate risk-based decision-making
20. Ability to think outside of box
21. Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
22. Excellent computer skills
23. Excellent writing and speaking skills in German and English
Education:
24. Bachelor’s degree that demonstrates strong legal/compliance/controlling/finance acumen
25. Proven excellence in academic, professional and/or personal endeavors
