What will you be doing as Laboratory Technician - Extractables & Leachables?
* Extract processing materials (filters, tubing, connectors, bags, etc.), primary packaging, and medical devices in accordance with extraction protocols and applicable regulatory standards (USP 665, USP 1663, USP 1664, ISO 10993)
Prepare samples of extracts for analytical measurement
Operate various analytical techniques such as gas- and liquid chromatography (GC/LC), mass spectrometry (MS), and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) including set up and optimization
Record, analyze, and report results accurately, following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring proper calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting as required.
Monitor and maintain laboratory inventory of consumables, reagents, and materials, ensuring that supplies are stocked and properly stored.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all laboratory activities, including test results, instrument calibration, and maintenance logs.
Who are you?
* A minimum of an Associate’s degree with relevant laboratory experience will also be considered
* Minimum of 1-2 years of laboratory experience
* Experience with analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC, ICP-MS, etc.) is highly desirable
* Strong hands-on laboratory skills, including sample preparation, instrument operation, and data analysis.
* Familiarity with analytical techniques used in E&L testing, including chromatography (GC/LC), mass spectrometry (MS), and detectors (UV, FID, DAD), ICP.
* Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accurate record-keeping and data integrity.
* Ability to follow protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) meticulously.
* Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and team collaboration.
* Good German and English skills
