Our international Finance team is looking for a temporary support as Accountant (m/f/d) / Buchhalter (m/w/d). location: Leipzig or Griesheim (Darmstadt) Temporary Contract How You’ll Add Value… The German Accountant (m/f/d) will report to the German Financial Controller and is responsible for assisting with the month end, intercompany transactions as well as VAT filings and filings for the German Statistical Office filings, for the German Bundesbank and Intrastat data. What You’ll Do… Postings to the general ledger as part of month end close and reporting. Lead continuous process improvement projects for VAT accounting and EC Sales Lists Support the VAT filings and provide documentation as required. Accounts Payable reconciliations Supporting the AP function providing GL coding and analysis where required. Support the payroll team with correct accounting of payroll and associated transactions. Prepare and file PAYE Settlement Agreements. Prepare and file Office for National Statistics surveys. Prepare data analysis on the performance of key business metrics. Prepare SOX Controls and Balance Sheet Reconciliations for quarterly and year end audits. Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management. What you will Bring… Qualified Accountant (ACCA or CIMA qualified or equivalent). Multiple years of relevant financial experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience in a publicly traded company a plus. Relevant additional requirements: Roll-up your sleeves approach and ability to problem solve. Experience with accounting software applications, ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite required. Knowledge of Net suite, Oxaion, or Oracle Cloud ERP is a plus. Strong Excel knowledge. Demonstrated strength in communications and ability to multi-task in complex and dynamic environments. Experience working in a team environment. Demonstrated history of devising and implementing successful strategies utilizing a consultative approach in customer interactions, resulting in measurable and impactful outcomes Negotiation skills, both in written and oral communication, coupled with presentation abilities. Proven track record of collaborating seamlessly with key stakeholders across internal and external organizations. Proficiency in computer skills, including a strong command of commonly used Microsoft Office applications, ensuring efficient and effective utilization of technology in daily tasks and responsibilities.
