Hauptaufgaben
Serves in the S4 Branch with responsibility for managing and handling of supplies and equipment within the 6981st CSG. Supply operations encompass the requisitioning, receipt, storage, accounting, and issue of all TDA-authorized equipment, operational supplies, parts (expendable and non-expendable), and individual clothing and equipment for the unit engaged in mission essential telecommunications projects, operations, and cable repair actions (24/7) throughout the USAREUR-AF AOR. Provides support for review and analysis. Supports the Unit S4 in a diversity of logistics management/customer service/readiness functions on a unit basis.
Is engaged in the documentary control of supply and related transactions, to include the maintenance of Hand Receipts using the new Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) and other documents and registers for supply and inventory accounting. Works independently based on internal procedures and advise of the unit's S4 for the proper handling of documents and transactions to ensure full control over the movement of supplies and equipment. Oversees and manages the operation of storage areas for clothing, and operational supplies. Obtains quotes for Purchase Requests and Commitments (PR&C) from local vendors. Manages logistics support projects which encompass the operations and activities related to deployment, storage, transportation of materiel, operation of facilities, and readiness. Follows prescribed internal controls to accommodate local operating work and conditions. Completes internal control review checklist for all functional areas within established time frames. Records and reports figures for correcting material weakness. Assists the Unit's S4 in resolving supply problems. Performs supply inspections as required by AR 710-2 and DA Pam 710-2-1.
Works as a Logistics technician with the Global Combat Support System (GCSS) – Army. Executes supply requisitioning and distribution operations, analyses process issues and reports those to his manager. Controls and monitors the Organizational Clothing & Individual Equipment, and chemical/HAZMAT materiel. Provides technical and authoritative data and details for decisions making regarding the above subjects. Implements new/revised DA and NETCOM/2nd TSB programs, systems and plans affecting the Unit's Operations as advised by the supervisor. Maintains efficient and effective working relationship among personnel working at all levels within the portions of the Unit. Assures effective and efficient storage and technical supply activities in accordance with existing policies, procedures, and objectives.
Participates in studies of a logistical nature dealing with materiel and makes trips to supply activities as required. Monitors and documents acquisition and distribution of assigned equipment and materials. Maintains a working knowledge of the inventory of the Unit's equipment, tools, and materials. Works with 2nd TSB elements necessary for adequate readiness management for the assigned projects and commodities. Maintains a working knowledge of supply management functions from initial procurement through the life cycle to disposal of the supplies and equipment. Executes and monitors approved plans.

E&T Level I:
2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below
PLUS 3 years of experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation
must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II:
1 years of creditable experience as defined in A below
PLUS 3 years of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level III:
2 years of creditable experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level IV:
1 year of creditable experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level V:
No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A:
Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Experience B:
Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered.
The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position.
The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled.
The amount of the higher level experience must be in a reasonable relation to the required total number of years.
• Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B.
• Office automation skills are required.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
English Language Proficiency level B2

German Language Proficiency level C1 required.
