Solutions Specialist – Automated Driving Hardware-in-the-Loop
We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented Solutions Specialist with a problem-solving mindset to join our engineering team. The Solutions Specialist will work closely with our clients to understand their technical business needs, identify product fit, and design customized solutions that bridge the gap between product specifications and customer requirements. The Solutions Specialist will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to drive product development according to collected client and industry feedback. As a Solutions Specialist – Automated Driving Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), the individual will be responsible to act as a local expert for dSPACE tool offerings in the area of HIL for ADAS/AD applications. This role will require a deep understanding of the automotive industry and its trends, as well as the ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner.
Responsibilities:
* Work closely with clients to understand their technical business needs and requirements
* Develop customized solutions to address clients' needs and improve their operations
* Generate technical solution proposals to meet client requirements
* Work collaboratively with project manager and application engineers to ensure successful implementation of specified solutions
* Act as a client advocate internally, conveying the voice of the client in discussions with product management and other leadership
* Maintain a deep technical expertise in relevant domains and be able to appropriately convey that expertise to gain trust as a knowledgeable and experienced industry resource. This includes attending and speaking at industry events and conferences.
* Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering
* At least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry
* Proven experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems is a benefit, including familiarity with:
o Closed-loop operation with a plant model
o Hardware and software fault injection
o I/O interfacing between simulator and device-under-test
* Understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and automotive ECUs.
* Familiarity with autonomy sensors (LiDAR, radar, cameras)
* Strong business acumen and understanding of automotive industry trends
* Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to clients in a clear and concise manner
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
* Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 25%)
