WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
In this challenging position, you take on the operational and administrative management of the Individual Colors Lab unit, which develops and tests special colors in series quality for our customers in the automotive industry.
* In your new role, you organize and prioritize the team's work in the disciplines of generic approval, product maintenance and batch testing.
* You lead the team in independently developing formulations and reproducibly producing lab samples while adhering to BASF's workplace safety regulations.
* Furthermore, you ensure compliance with the general and customer-specific formulation rules regarding coloristic and color fastness, as well as cost optimization and the legal requirements for product safety.
* Additionally, you ensure that the work and results are conducted and documented in accordance with IATF quality criteria and carry out systematic evaluations, among other things, to achieve the KPIs.
* You also continuously review the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes and explore new opportunities for digitalization and automation.
* Finally, you maintain close contact and exchange with accounts, production, application, and customer laboratories to ensure a smooth workflow of the processes.
WHAT YOU OFFER
* completed master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, paint technology, or a comparable field
* familiarity with the properties of color and effect pigments as well as other other coating raw materials
* affinity for digital solutions and automation, along with a strong interest in continuous and disruptive process optimization
* determination, performance orientation, and motivation to continuously develop as a leader and to face new challenges
* high customer orientation, creativity, and organizational talent, combined with a passion for working in an international environment
* analytical thinking, structured working style, as well as fluency in English, both spoken and written
